Meaningful Meals
Meaningful Meals started at Morris Middle School, McAllen, TX as the annual Turkey Drive to work with the campus social worker to provide meals and hygiene products to families during the holiday seasons. Throughout the years we have been able to give over 30 families meals and hygiene products. As Meaningful Meals continued it carried on to McAllen High School to assist families in need with information given by the social worker as well. In 2023 we raised $3,000 that was used to not only give out meals and hygiene products, we were able to expand to Christmas Gifts for 30 families. The next year we raised even more to provide resources for 40 families. This year in 2025 we are expanding District Wide and to our Local Boys and Girls Club. All three main high school McAllen High, McAllen Memorial, and McAllen Rowe will all have student leaders to help out to raise enough funds to provide the resources needed based on the list given by the social worker at each campus. The Boys and Girls Club in McAllen are also joining Meaningful Meals to provide meals and hygiene products to the families in their community.
